Standard system

SAE (American Society of Automotive Engineers): One of the most influential standards globally, known by the "SAE 100R" series numbering.

EN/DIN (European/German Standards): The core European specification, highly corresponding to the SAE standards and widely adopted.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization): Aimed at global coordination and unification, it provides a comprehensive set of technical requirements.

The main series classified by the pressure-bearing structure

1. Steel wire braided hose

This is the most common type. It is reinforced by weaving one or more layers of high-strength steel wires. Its characteristics include good flexibility and a smaller bending radius, but it has relatively weaker resistance to pulse high pressure.

Typical Applications

R1AT/EN853 1SN

SAE 100R1AT/EN853 1SN

single layer of steel wire braided

Medium-low pressure

The lubrication circuit of machine tools and the pilot control line of construction machinery require flexible hose distribution and low pressure situation

R2AT/EN853 2SN

SAE 100R2AT/EN853 2SN

two layer of steel wire braided

medium-high pressure

The main hydraulic circuits of equipment such as excavators, loaders, and injection molding machines are the most widely used.

1SC/2SC

EN 857 1SC/2SC

single/two layer of steel wire braided, with a compact structure

higher than the same grade braided hose

In compact spaces, its bending radius is smaller than that of the EN853 series.

R6

SAE 100R6

single layer of fiber or steel wire braided

low pressure

Low-pressure oil return or suction line.

R16

ISO 112 37

Compact steel wire braid

medium-high pressure

Between R2 and R17.

2.Steel wire wound hose

When the system pressure is higher and the pulses are more intense, a wire winding structure is required. It winds the wire in a spiral pattern in multiple layers to provide stronger support for the hose.

Typical Applications

4SP

EN 856 4SP/SAE 100R12

four layers of high strength steel wire spiral winding

high pressure

High-pressure and shock-prone conditions, such as the piping system of hydraulic hammers and the pressurization systems of large-scale presses

4SH/R9

EN 856 4SH/SAE 100R9

four layers of high strength steel wire spiral winding

high pressure

Usually similar to 4SP, but performance requirements may be higher.

R12

SAE 100R12/EN 856 R12

four layers of spiral wire winding

high pressure

High-pressure and high-pulse applications, with performance and pressure superior to 4SP

R13

SAE 100R13/EN 856 R13

four to six layers of high-strength steel wire spiral winding

extremely pressure

Applications such as mining that involve extremely high pressure and high pulse impact

R15/6SH

SAE 100R15/EN 856 R15

six layers of spiral wire winding

extremely high pressure

Static hydraulic transmission, large-scale mining equipment and other extremely heavy-load working conditions
